Chimacum Tack was little and new when we began working with Broadhead in the early 1990’s. We were nervous – we did not know so very much about collars, and because we knew we needed to have answers for our customers, we started by asking our new harness maker (Countryside) where to go for collars. They sent us straight to Brodhead; They knew and trusted them, and the two shops are just a few miles apart, as well.
We began by corresponding by letter, and Brodhead graciously agreed to provide whatever I needed. Provide they did! I’ve asked hundreds of questions over the years, given them dozens of problems to solve, called in with rush orders, made mistakes, etc. I’ve never been disappointed in their work or their customer service. They have never hesitated to take care of whatever I need for my customers.
Brodhead’s craftsmen are talented professionals working with time honored methods and materials. The front of their catalog says “Offering high quality, hand-selected leather and guaranteed workmanship,” and they fulfill that promise. Many of their employees have been with them for more than 20 years.
I have never needed to buy a leather collar anywhere else, and I don’t expect to either!
