#500 and #520 Farm Hames – Stainless Steel

The #500 and #520 Farm hames are made with tubular stainless steel. These are the polished stainless steel hames. Available with the bolt style trace connector or the lone star option (the lone start connection is used with a chain style trace)

Hames are made on even sizes from 20″ to 32″.Please choose TWO sizes larger than your collar when ordering. For example; a 20″ collar will need 22″ hames.

The 500 hame is slimmer, more tapered in the tube and may look a little nicer.  It is more of a Horse Jockey Hame as you can use it on several size collars.  It will shift up and down a lot more than the 520 but you can use it on 5 or 6 collar sizes.  The 520 will give a better fit on larger size collars.

The 520 Hame was designed to fit the best on the average collar for everyday use, with a well fitted collar.  The 520 hame will seldom cause sore shoulders.  The hame does not shift up and down on your collar very much.  You can use one size hame on only two or three different collar sizes.

The size of our  hames is measured from the top notch of the ratchet to the bottom of the hame.

Hames are priced per set.

Our hames DO NOT come with Hame straps (the straps that connect the hames at the top and the bottom.) If you need these you will need to order them as well:

• ComfyFit Style Hame straps (made using the soft strap)
• Brahma Web Hame Straps (these are made using the stiffer brahma web)

** Please note: When you purchase a set of hames from us, ordering 1 will get you ONE set of hames, for ONE horse or pony. If you need a set for a pair then you need to order 2!!
